class 5

I was hoping my pt would be a class two but as always luck is not on my side. I"m glad she does not have a dirty mouth. I think I need to do a better job on charting the dent portion. recession and mod mol dob's etc.. My goal for next time is to do a good job on dent

class 2

Today I had a class two. It was hard. I mosty because I have a hard time feeling the calculus with my explorer. I THink I did okay except that I went way long because my patient had a hard time pain control wise. She was totally numb. But I'm sure since she did not speak english it was difficult for her to trust someone who could not understand her. I need to get a better sequence down and find ways to better access the areas I"m workign on. I feel like I can never see. Maybe I will buy some loops. My goal for next time is to be in better positions. Prof. Costley helped me a lot I really appreciated it.

Full mouth

Today I did a full mouth. I do not like full mouths they take forever and the patient is always in pain. I thought I did well I didn't have any retakes, but It did not seem to go as smoothly as it did. if that makes sense. I finally used a size one film on the mandibular canines. That worked great. I was in their for too long! an hour and a half. But I only had one retake. So I guess that was okay. I do not know if my mom will be a class 2 like I"d hoped. I will have to get my Bro in law to come in. My goal for next time is to find calculus on my dad if it's the last thing I do!! j/k I want to do a better job on ohi! Bye

Class 2!! ... not:(

Today I thought I had a class 2 coming in. I was wrong. Can you say perio maintenance! I was sad, but happy cuz I'm glad the guy has a healthier mouth that originally thought. So I gues I'm out of luck for that! I guess my goal for next time is to do a good job cleaning him. Or if I have a different person coming in Do a good OD and say a lot of prayers for a higher class. My reall goal is to do a better job on OHI for periodontally involved pt's
