orientation day

For some reason my orientation day blog didn't work so I'll do a quick other one. Hello everyone!! I'm excited to be here!!

2nd day of clinic

I'll be honest... today was a struggle for me. It's one thing to read and know the positions and another to do it. Handling the instruments is a little tough for me. All we used today was a cue tip and mirror, but it's a little tricky. I'm sure my fellow greeny stephanie can vouch for me on that. My TA suggested that I go home and practice a little on my model. I did what she told me to and feel much better. She also told me the first two weeks are the hardest so stick in there. My goal for next class is to be prepared by practicing on my model like emily told me. If I do this I hope to be a little more comfortable doing the technique on my practice buddy.

In place of 1st day clinic

In the first day of clinics my goal was to get familiar with the general aspects of my area. We went over how to set up our stations with the barriers and cabi wipes etc... Then we raced! I felt a little more at home with the whole racing aspect of things. I did pretty well at set up becasue I had already done dentist office set up before. Not that it's a hard thing, but sometimes you might get confused what to and what not to barrier. My goal for next class is to be prepared and practice techniques before class on my tooth model.
